Materials: (per Person) Figure 1
-1 Mini Flaming Chalice Cookie Cutter
-1 8x10 Card Stock paper
-1 Sheet Adhesive Printing Labels 3 1/3” x 4”
(Avery 8254 or equivalent. 6 labels per sheet)
-Scissors
-Colored Markers or crayons, three different colors and black.
-Pencil
Directions:
-Apply the 6 labels to the card stock. Figure 2.
(You may want to do this step ahead of time, when working with groups of younger children.)
-Center the mini cookie cutter on each label and trace around it with the pencil. Figure 3.
-Take the black marker or crayon and outline on top of the pencil lines. Figure 4.
-Color in flaming chalices with markers or crayons, two in each color. Figure 5.
-Cut out each card following the edges of the labels. Figure 6.
To Play Game:
-Lay out all 6 cards with chalice images hidden.
-Turn over 2 cards per turn.
-If they match, keep them turned over.
-If not, turn them back over and try again, until you have matched all the cards.
To make the game more challenging, make several more sets of cards.

This Matching Chalice game is fun, inexpensive and very simple to make, even with young children. It has minimal prep time and it’s fast to clean up after.
To make the game more challenging for older children, make more sets of cards and encourage more elaborate patterns inside the chalices. Also, as a variation, the UU Principles and meaningful quotes can also be written on each sets of matching cards. Perfect for Sunday School or UU Homeschool project.
